Credit Analyst - Industry & Corporate Analysis

The energy sector is ongoing major transformations, which we believe will present interesting business opportunities with growth potential for us. Therefore, we are now looking for an Energy Analyst to join the Industry & Corporate Analysis (I&CA) team within the division Large Corporates & Financial Institutions. I&CA is the corporate and industry part of Credit Analysis, providing SEB’s global business and credit decision process with in-depth independent analyses of corporate counterparties, industries and transactions.
What you will be doing
As an Energy Analyst based in Oslo you will be part of a cross-border team of 8 analysts covering a wide range of corporate clients and sectors, while your primary area will be energy counterparties. The analyst prepares and presents the analysis and recommendation to the various decision-making authorities within the bank, providing a thorough understanding of the customer’s business risk profile, as well as transaction related risks. Staying on top of economic, business and market development relevant for our exposure will thus be an essential part of your job. Communication and cooperation with the client, Client Executive and Credits is as such an integral part of the business and credit assessment.
Who are we looking for?
In cooperation with leading experts on the area you will learn the essence of energy finance and credit assessment. It is therefore not a prerequisite that you already have in-depth knowledge within these areas. However, you will be considered a strong candidate if you:
- have a university degree, preferably with an accounting and/or finance focus
- have relevant professional experience of at least 2-5 years from energy related activities
- have knowledge or experience from the finance sector or other equivalent sectors
- have strong accounting, analytical, modelling, communication and presentation skills
- are highly proficient in English and Norwegian/Swedish
- are able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
