Wilhelmsen Ships Service AS, Marine Products division is looking for a Technical Manager Chemicals. This key role will be part of the team that shapes what our products will look like and how they will solve pain points for customers in the future. 

Technical Manager - Chemicals

Our Technical Manager will work closely with relevant Wilhelmsen Business Managers and product development team to enhance, design, develop and implement the most expedient chemical product development with suppliers, in particular Wilhelmsen Chemicals. As Technical Manager you will have to take both technical and commercial considerations and be able to communicate this in a good manner with relevant stakeholders when advising the most beneficial product formulation and solutions.

In more detail this involves among other:

• Drive and develop knowledge focusing on technical responsibility
• Assess market characteristics, competitive landscape and regulatory directives
• Translate Market needs into product design specifications and criteria for supplier development
• Manage technical supplier relations directly, with the team and International procurement
• Business reviews with suppliers and other relevant stakeholders

We like to get in contact with business oriented chemical engineers with at least 5 years relevant experience combining chemical product development with profit orientation. Relevant candidates should enjoy working collaboratively with local and international stakeholders and have the ambition and desire to take part in developing the business.
