Analyst

Ship Finance International Limited (“SFL”) is one of the world’s largest ship owning companies, with investments in the tanker, bulker, container and offshore segments, with a significant charter backlog. SFL is a part of the Seatankers group of companies and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of approximately $1.5 billion.

SFL has strong growth ambitions and is looking to strengthen the team with an ambitious, hard-working analyst with a strong quantitative background from corporate finance or investment banking. You will be part of a small team based in Oslo offering a very exciting working environment in a global setting.

Key Responsibilities

• perform financial analysis, including credit analysis
• establish and maintain financial models
• valuation of assets and companies
• prepare and present investment opportunities to the management and board

Desired Background and Qualifications

• excellent academic results from a leading institution, preferably a MSc
• 2-4 years of relevant experience from investment banking or other finance related position
• experience from shipping and credit analysis is an advantage, but not a requirement
• solid Microsoft Office skills, especially within Excel and PowerPoint
• experience in cash flow modelling and analysis
• fluent in English as well as Norwegian

The right candidate is commercially aware and has an analytical mindset. You are comfortable working independently, as well as in teams. A general interest and drive for investing and creating value is key. You appear dedicated, highly motivated and confident, and your communication skills are excellent.
