How about a new opportunity at a leading Nordic Investment Bank as a valued addition to our Corporate Finance team? We are investing for further growth and are now looking for up to three Senior Analysts/Associates.

About Corporate Finance at SEB
Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) is a leading Northern European financial institution with strong market positions in the Nordic countries. The Corporate Finance department assists our clients in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) activities (including IPO’s and private placements), as well as other financial advisory services.

The role in short
As a Senior Analyst/Associate you will be an important contributor in the project team working closely with more junior and senior colleagues to lead and execute transactions and pitches. This involves research, analysis and modelling, process management, preparing marketing material and documentation. This requires a solid work ethic, the ability to familiarise oneself with the client’s business and markets as well as strong knowledge of financial concepts and guidance of more junior team members.

You will be part of a leading corporate finance team with approximately 100 professionals located across our offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and New York. Your primary base will be in our offices located at Filipstad Brygge in Oslo, with the opportunity to work with and at our other offices across the Nordics. You will be a key member of the project team, executing and managing high profile M&A and ECM transactions for large clients in Norway and abroad. All in all, this role will expose you to various project teams, building your capabilities across different transaction types and industries, allowing for a varied and rewarding working environment.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who naturally provides a high level of service both internally and externally. You are a team player with a strong ability to prioritize daily work, who enjoys solving challenges in a fast-paced environment. You have a strong personal drive and a high degree of initiative without compromising attention to detail. You are an industrious worker who takes pride in delivering work of the highest quality.

We will consider applicants with a wide range of backgrounds; however we consider the following criteria to be relevant in order for you to be successful in this position:

  • An academic degree with strong academic results in relevant financial courses.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience working with transactions either in corporate finance/investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, business development, consulting or similar.
  • The ability to think analytically from a business perspective.
  • Relevant product knowledge and execution experience from M&A and/or ECM transactions is considered positive.
  • Industry knowledge from the energy, shipping and/or infrastructure sector is positive, but not a prerequisite.
  • High proficiency in English. Norwegian/Swedish/Danish is a requirement.

What we can offer
You will be part of an environment where ambition is considered positive. You will be given ample opportunities for both personal and professional development, and training in your areas of improvement.

You will also be a part of a dynamic and competent team and company, with a strong focus on cross-collaboration.

It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from.

Who are we?
SEB is a leading Nordic financial services group, guided by a strong belief that entrepreneurial minds and innovative companies are key in creating a better world. We are here to help them achieve their aspirations and succeed through good times and bad. We care for ambition.

In Sweden and the Baltic countries, SEB offers financial advice and a wide range of financial services. In Denmark, Finland, Norway and Germany the bank's operations have a strong focus on corporate and investment banking based on a full-service offering to corporate and institutional clients.
