Financial Strategist - Financial Institutions Coverage
SEB is a leading Nordic financial services group, guided by a strong belief that entrepreneurial minds and innovative companies are key in creating a better world. We are here to help them achieve their aspirations and succeed through good times and bad. We care for ambition.
In Sweden and the Baltic countries, SEB offers financial advice and a wide range of financial services. In Denmark, Finland, Norway and Germany the bank's operations have a strong focus on corporate and investment banking based on a full-service offering to corporate and institutional clients.
SEB has been present in Norway since the early 20th century when we, together with our owners, funded the start-up of companies that today are among Norway's largest companies. SEB is also the market leader in issuing cards with the Eurocard and Diners Club brands.
We are looking to add a Financial Strategist to the Financial Institutions Coverage team in Norway. The institutional client base consists of insurers, asset managers, pension funds, banks and hedge funds, and the coverage team is responsible for SEB’s activity, risk and profitability towards these clients.
What you can expect
As a member of the team you will work closely with all the client executives towards a broad and diverse set of clients and play an important role both internally and externally. You facilitate a continuous strategic dialogue between SEB and its main financial institutions clients. This is done in close cooperation with client executives and working together with different product areas. You will gain insights into the breadth of what we offer and how we create value for our clients. You will also be deeply involved in the strategic planning and structured coordination of our efforts towards the various segments.
What we expect
We seek a highly motivated, proactive and independent person, with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking/insurance with excellent communication and presentation skills. The position requires a very strong analytical foundation with the ability to analyse complex financial portfolios, a thorough understanding of key financial instruments and investment/risk parameters. In addition, a firm grasp of the key macro drivers as well as regulatory frameworks impacting pension companies and the banking sector will underpin your success. You have an academic degree and fluency in Norwegian/Swedish and English.
To succeed and thrive in the position you must be sociable and service minded with a strong commercial drive, collaboratively helping us identify and pursue good business opportunities.
What we can offer
To be part of a dynamic and competent team covering an institutional client base with exciting prospects for business growth across several products that are a top priority for SEB. While the job itself will provide ample scope for individual development, we further that effort through collaboration and training.
