Group business controller

Followed by its acquisition by a private equity fund, Fiven - a global leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of Silicon Carbide grains and powders - is looking for its new Group Business Controller. The position is located at the company’s HQ in Oslo, and as the position is newly established, you will get the opportunity to influence and shape the position to fit future requirements. Group Business Controller will work closely with and report to the Group CFO, and the role will require travelling and tight interaction with the operational units.

With operations in Norway, Belgium, Brazil and Venezuela, and in a context of carve-out from its historical parent company (sic.saint-gobain.com), an urgent and important role for the Group Business Controller will be to initiate and build new structures and routines for the Group within the field of business controlling. Other areas of importance will be implementation of a BI system for excellent business insight and efficient reporting, as well as the following areas of responsibility:

• Preparation and review monthly management reporting for the Group

• Providing financial analysis for performance management and decision support

• Working closely with and support the local Finance Managers and controllers

• Managing the Group’s financial budget & forecasting process

• Proactively and continuously contribute to improvement of business processes and performance

• Monitoring and forecast of cash flow

• Preparation of relevant business cases

• Developing and implementing strategic plans and similar activities together with CEO, Business Managers and CFO

• Participating in other relevant day-to-day business controlling activities

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent

• A minimum of 5 -7 years of relevant working experience is required

• Experience from working as a business controller in a multinational organization

• Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint 

• Written and verbal excellence in English
