WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Head of Operations has a broad managerial role with responsibility of driving and implementing the strategic agenda of the office. You will act as a sparring partner to the Office Leader (OL) and the partner team, and have the local ownership of all business support functions. The role is a part of the local management team in the office.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Proven demonstration of strong leadership skills and management. You have an ability to inspire, direct, and further develop capabilities within a team. You also have the ability to drive change involving robust communication, change management and influence

  • Strong customer focus towards different stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment with and support for business objectives
  • Set agenda and facilitate local leadership meetings
  • Own and facilitate the annual planning process for the office
  • Lead and coach the local business functions, both direct reports and matrix: HR, Staffing, Recruiting, Marketing, Operations and IT
  • Ensure local implementation of Nordic, regional and company wide initiatives
  • Be an integral part of the Nordic BST Management Team
  • Have selected champion roles in Nordic topics and drive their implementation on a Nordic level
  • Actively collaborate in relevant European networks to bring in best practices

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Qualifications

  • M.Sc, MBA or PhD
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant working experience from a senior/leadership position
  • Consulting experience (BCG or similar) or experience from other positions close to consulting/professional services business and with adequate analytical toolbox is a clear advantage
  • Excellent written and oral English, Scandinavian languages a plus (preferably Norwegian)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interaction skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; general computer proficiency

  • Ability to provide quick turnaround and updates for multiple requests, while maintaining high quality
  • In-depth understanding of HR and people processes and related key issues and success factors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good high level understanding / interest to further deepen understanding of labor legislation in the Norwegian markets
  • Ability to Identify and understand root causes and ways to go about solving the problems with strong analytical foundation and practical mindset
  • Able to independently resolve complex issues/problems
  • Fact-based decision making, clear and sound logic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Powerful, logical and effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the Nordic organization
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, persistence and collaboration
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, plan and manage multiple initiatives within a fast-moving, high-pressure environment

YOU'LL WORK WITH

Together with the OL and the partner team you will define the office agenda and drive its implementation. You will work closely with the Head of Operations in the other Nordic countries, as well as our functional leaders at a Nordic level. Locally you have the responsibility of all functions: HR, Staffing, Recruiting, Marketing, Operations and IT. Some functions are direct reports, while some sit in a Nordic matrix. The Head of Operations also has the responsibility to manage local vendors.
