Responsibilities

As the new Head of Compliance, you will provide an in-house compliance service that effectively supports business areas in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations and internal procedures, and support risk owners to perform operational risk monitoring activities. Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Lead Skuld's compliance efforts to prevent, monitor and detect areas of noncompliance
• Advise management on relevant compliance issues
• Coordinate compliance efforts in all Skuld's business units, including support to local compliance in Singapore, Hong Kong and London
• Support risk owners to perform operational risk monitoring activities
• Monitor possible measures addressed by the Internal Audit
• Coordinate reporting and communications with relevant regulators
• Prepare periodic compliance reports to the Executive Management and the Board of Directors
• Review and implement any improvements to current procedures and internal controls
• Monitor and register incidents,
• Support the business to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering, bribery and corruption regulations
• Data Protection Officer
• Participate in international workgroups and meetings

Experience

You should have a minimum of seven years of experience with compliance or internal auditing, as well as strong knowledge of the insurance industry and relevant laws and regulations. Experience from maritime insurance is an advantage, but not required. Strong written and oral communication skills in English is essential. You must be able to read and interpret Norwegian laws, regulations and other legal documents.

Education

Cand.jur./Master of Law/LL.M., Master of Science or equivalent.

 Work Location
