Norske Skog operates a total of seven paper mills strategically located close to attractive markets, and with total paper production capacity of 2.6 million tons, comprising 1.7 million tons of newsprint and 0.9 million tons of magazine paper. The Norske Skog Group has approximately 2,400 employees and had in 2018 annual revenue and EBITDA of approximately NOK 12.6 billion and NOK 1.0 billion respectively.
Group Business Analyst
The position as Group Business Analyst is a new role that reports to COO and serves as support to the Group management
Main purpose of the role:
- Conduct business performance analysis on Business Units and Group level
- Provide financial modeling and liquidity forecasting
- Provide analytical and operational capacity to Finance/Treasury team
Accountability, tasks & deliverables:
Business Performance
- Monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including monthly forecasting
- Participate in monthly review calls with Business Units
- Internal and external benchmarking analysis
- Support management in identifying- and drive improvements
- Ad hoc analysis and project support for Corporate management
Financial modeling and liquidity forecasting
- Develop and maintain financial models for the group, and perform ad hoc analysis on effects from e.g. investments/divestments, debt incurrence, changes in market conditions
- Develop and maintain models for daily liquidity reporting, and short term cash flow forecasting
- Use modeling framework to identify issues or opportunities that needs to be planned for in advance
Treasury
- Cash management, guarantee issuance, payments processing and treasury accounting
- Reporting, analysis and transaction execution related to hedging activities and FX exposures
- Contribute to execution and follow up of project and corporate financing transactions, and carry out internal and external reporting related to financing arrangements
Competencies and capabilities:
- 1-4 years of management consulting experience or similar position
- Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Financial modelling skills
- Knowledge of derivatives and financing is an advantage
- Analytical mindset
- High working capacity and ability to work under pressure
The position is in Oslo. Travel will be required.
