This role is central to our subscription department, and reports to the Director of Digital Sales, CRM, and Customer Success. 

Product Owner Digital Subscriptions

The Product Owner Digital Subscriptions will be responsible for prioritisation, planning, and executing digital subscription development projects. A successful candidate should possess a strong ability to transform NHST Global's business needs into digital subscription projects that creates true value for our readers. In this role you will have extensive contact with other departments and development teams within NHST.  You will work with all our global brands; Tradewinds, Upstream, Recharge and Intrafish. 


  • Be our main advocate for user friendly and innovative digital solutions that creates positive experience for subscribers
  • Perform your expertise in our agile development team handling subscription solutions for all our publications
  • Collaborate with the subscription team and the development team to identify business needs and translate them to development projects
  • Organize prioritisation meetings with subscription team to ensure the right projects and tasks are prioritised to meet business goals
  • Setting up, running and quality assuring small and large development projects
  • Initiating new projects to help the organisation attain its business goals

Qualifications and experience:  

  • 3+ years of relevant working experience, preferably from media industry or similar subscription businesses, or agencies.  
  • Relevant degree within IT/Technology development or digital business development. Documented and proven experience can replace degree.  
  • You are structured, self-driven, and have good communication skills  
  • Process-oriented mindset
  • Analytical skills and are data-driven
  • Commercial and customer-centered focus
  • Interest and knowledge of UX and how to design great customer journeys and user experience
  • You master English on a professional level, both spoken and in writing.
