Associate - Structured and Leveraged Finance

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) is a leading Northern European financial institution with strong market positions in the Nordic countries. We are now looking for an Associate to our Structured and Leveraged Finance department in Oslo. Structured and leveraged Finance is part of the Financial Sponsor Group in Investment Banking in the Large Corporates and Financial Institutions division. We are a team of 9 in Oslo, part of a group of 80 employees located in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany and the UK. We support our clients across all of SEB’s core markets and are a market leader within project and infrastructure finance in the Nordics and Germany.

About the job
As an Associate you will be part of an ambitious team where you will benefit from a challenging and stimulating environment.  You will support Transaction Managers in new transactions e.g. participate in negotiations, perform credit analysis and financial modelling, handle documentation etc. As you grow into your role you will take the lead, either throughout the entire transaction or for parts thereof. Beside your work on specific new transactions, you will also have a responsibility for actively monitoring selected transactions in our portfolio from a credit perspective. Further, the role will entail scouting for new business opportunities and preparing pitch material, collaborating with other units in the bank and coordinating/developing processes and procedures.

Who are you?
You have 3-4 years of relevant work experience within financing, preferably with a background in credit origination and analysis. You should have an outstanding analytical capacity and strong financial modelling and Powerpoint skills. Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both verbally and written is a prerequisite. The role will require a significant commitment from you but will also provide a steep learning curve. We expect that you are comfortable working independently, have an attention to detail and that you are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
