Scatec Solar is in a phase of solid growth and is looking to strengthen the company with a Business/Project Controller. This is a higly visible and central role in the projects. You will be responsible for the financial and business controlling activities and support the Development and Construction segment on the structuring and construction phase of solar power plants. It is a very outgoing role and you will liaison with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Local Finance Manager and the Project Management team ensuring contractual requirements are met with respect to items such as Letters of Credit, milestone payments, tax certificates, etc. The position manages the controlling activities of a portfolio of projects and supports several Project Managers. The Business/Project Controller reports to VP Controlling. This is a long-term assignment with the possibility to become a permanent position.

Main responsibilities:

• Financial responsibility for a portfolio of projects building solar power plants
• Member of the Project Management team
• Present status and findings to PM and top level management
• Responsibility for budgeting and forecast of the projects
• Assure accuracy and quality of the projects costs and income
• Analysis of actual projects costs vs. budget
• Follow contractual milestone payment plan
• Monitor forecasted cash flows and actual cash flows
• Monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis for internal and external purposes
• Ensures that the cost controlling activities are aligned with HQ policies and tools.
• Evaluate financial impact on the project margin of changes and variations
• Manage the risks and opportunities portfolio for the project
• Liaison with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Local Finance Manager and the Project Management team
• Contribute in various improvement projects on a group level

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance, Business or equivalent.
• Preferably 2-5 years’ experience in project controlling and/or business controlling.
• Successful track record in cost control and risk management.
• Ability to consolidate data from several sources for presentation.
• Preferable, but not necessary, experience with ERP and/or Business Intelligence systems.
• Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, written and orally.
• Entrepreneurial self-motivated and able to independently drive projects.
