Seram Coatings AS is a start-up company with significant growth potential. The company is based on a patented, ground-breaking university invention, enabling silicon carbide to be thermally sprayed for the first time. The company has a multinational team of 10 employees with excellent technical skills and has recently relocated to Herøya Industry Park, Porsgrunn, Norway.

Seram Coatings AS is now in the process of qualifying the product in several markets and expects significant growth with international customers. The company has won numerous awards and gained a lot of attraction. Seram Coatings AS product addresses many of the UN’s sustainable development goals thus contributing to «the green shift».

Director Sales in industrial scale-up

In order to further strengthen the sales function and secure growth, the company is now looking for an experienced, hands-on and high-performing international sales director. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and execute a global sales and marketing plan
  • Drive global sales
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships to existing and new customers
  • Develop an appropriate annual marketing plan 
  • Build a high performing sales and marketing organization, finding the best mix of own staff and agents.
  • Actively contribute to the strategic, operational and organizational development of the company as a whole.

Background and experience

  • Proven track record from driving international technical sales, negotiations and closing deals with blue-chip industrial clients
  • Proven track record from developing and executing international marketing strategies and plans resulting in profitable growth
  • Experience from product development in technology-based companies
  • Experience from the process industry, understanding both technical, production and commercial aspects
