Nel, a global, dedicated hydrogen company, is looking for a proactive, analytical, and hands-on M&A Manager. You will have a key role in the company’s further growth and value creation. As M&A Manager you will be a project leader within the M&A function reporting to the CFO in Nel and work closely with the management team, divisions and subsidiaries. The role is based in Oslo, Norway but traveling will be required.

Scope of work

  • Identify and evaluate new value-creating opportunities together with management

  • Initiate and execute M&A activity, as well as manage relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare notes, presentations, and basis for decision for management and the board of directors

  • Assist in the post-merger integration of acquired companies and strategy projects

Desired experience and qualifications

  • Master’s degree or similar with excellent academic results 

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience from investment banking, deal advisory, management consulting, private equity, and/or relevant industrial experience

  • Exposure to international work and/or the renewable energy sector will be considered an advantage

  • Strong analytical skills and business understanding

Desired personal skills

  • Self-driven and results-oriented with strong execution skills

  • Ability to work with and build relations with people at all levels in the organization

  • Positive to work in a high-paced environment, and comfortable with working both in a team and independently

  • Strong written and oral skills in English
