Working in Treasury

From helping to run advanced renewable power plants, developing the technologies that power EV charging infrastructures, to supporting our business solutions and corporate functions. With Statkraft, you’ll be working and collaborating alongside our passionate experts to innovate, maintain and provide the world with renewable energy.

Our Group Treasury function is the centralized treasury function at Statkraft and has the overall responsibility for all treasury operations in the Statkraft Group. Group Treasury’s main responsibilities includes funding, liquidity, foreign currency- and interest rate risk management, cash management, internal loans and guarantees, insurance and pension, business support, accounting and reporting of financial items, trade controls and settlements. Group Treasury has 39 employees in 5 departments. Back Office and Risk Control (TRB) is a department in the Treasury organization and counts 9 employees. This role reports to SVP Head of Group Treasury.  

As VP Head of Back Office and Risk Control, you will:

• Lead, prioritize, and coordinate the activities within TRB, including training, development, and motivation of the team members
• Ensure continuous improvement of TRB process, internal control, and deliveries, hereunder also standardization and simplification
• Responsible for Unit and Group reporting of financial items, including presentation to Management
• Responsible for/owner of Group Treasury Systems
• Responsible for settlement and trade controlling
• Responsible for compliance with relevant external and internal requirements, such as MAR and EMIR
• Responsible for Treasury Risk Control function, including reporting to Management
• Ensure good cooperation and communication with peers, senior managers, and other stakeholders

About you:

We look for leaders with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:

• Master`s degree within finance, accounting and/or auditing
• Seven or more years of work experience from larger audit firm or international company
• Experience in leading successful teams in a people focused way that brings out the best in your team (ideally from the finance sector)
• Knowledge within financial controlling, accounting and/or auditing
• Experience with complex ERP and Treasury systems
• Good knowledge of IFRS/NGAAP
• Self-driven with a desire to develop the organization and the quality of the deliverables
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Norwegian
• Ability to build good working relationships and stakeholder management
