Senior Internal Auditor

We are looking for a new Senior Internal Auditor in Corporate Audit to lead audits in Statkraft. The role reports to Head of Corporate Audit and is based at Lilleaker.

Working in Corporate Audit

Corporate Audit is an independent function which assists the Board of Directors and Management in assessing whether Statkraft’s most significant risks are sufficiently managed and controlled. Corporate Audit shall enhance and protect organisational value and improve operations by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight related to governance, risk management and internal control. Corporate Audit is a key contributor to continuous improvements.

Further, Corporate Audit is responsible for managing reported concerns in Statkraft and internal investigations in situations where this is required.

You will be in contact with corporate and senior management across business and staff areas, technologies, and geographies. Auditing entails traveling (when possible, depending on Covid-19 developments) and provides an opportunity to experience different cultures and a broad perspective of Statkraft as a global organisation.  

As Senior Internal Auditor, you will:

• Be responsible for project management of the audits according to mandate and international acknowledged internal auditing methodology
• Provide an independent and impartial assessment of the Group’s risk management and internal control system that you will audit
• Contribute to continuous improvement, including within governance, risk management, and internal controls
• Share key learnings across the organisation and follow-up implementation of audit recommendations
• Direct and deploy best in class audit methodologies and tools

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Auditor, with:

• Master or equivalent degree; and possibly with audit certification  
• Sound business understanding or equivalent experiences
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to distinguish between critical and non-critical issues
• Structured and with project management experience, in particular ability to organise the work efficiently, involve relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, and execute on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict deadlines
• Strong listening skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders across business and staff areas and geographies
• Excellent writing skills, including fluency in English
