The Nordics team for report and control is looking for a new Senior Specialist. In this role you are part of the Region Nordics, Finance Reporting & Control team, consisting of  20 professionals. You are reporting directly to the Finance Manager Reporting & Control Norway.

You will be contributing with IFRS- and statutory reporting for legal entities and in addition take the overall responsibility for the Norwegian VAT area in close alignment with the European VAT Expert team.

In this role you can expect to be involved in projects connected to our new global business unit – Yara Clean Ammonia.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the daily finance operations related to Yara entities
• Responsible for month-end closing activities for specific company codes
• Responsible for NOGAAP reporting for legal entities included performing tax papers and financial statements
• Contact person for internal and external auditors for specific company codes
• Main contact point for cooperation with our new Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) in Vilnius and supporting daily operations
• Responsible for ensuring correctness of VAT accounting and reporting
• Responsible for VAT reporting and declarations together with our SSC
• Ensure close collaboration with VAT expert team and implement  standards
• Contact point and VAT Subject Matter Expert support towards SSC and stakeholders outside Finance (e.g. support set-up of new business flows)

Profile:

• Master’s degree within accounting, preferably a CPA
• Solide experience of working with auditing, preferably with extended VAT focus
• Good understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting
• Proficient Excel skills and experiences with SAP, HFM and Power BI is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Norwegian
