Senior Strategy Advisor, Strategic Management Office

The Strategy & Development unit within the business area Markets & IT (M) is expanding as part of its growth strategy and ambition to be a leading provider of market solutions for renewable energy – integrating Statkraft’s and our customers’ production and consumption into the market. M has more than 600 employees in Europe, South America, India and the USA. 

We are seeking a person with strong skills within strategic management processes and project management to support M’s senior management and their respective units on strategic and cross-functional topics in M.  

You will join a newly established unit within the Strategy & Development function in M and be part of a team in Oslo with close cooperation to our Düsseldorf office, reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Management Office.

Responsibility areas relevant for the role: 

• Drive M’s annual strategic planning process 
• Further develop M’s newly established Project Portfolio Office and processes 
• Co-develop M’s improvement agenda to support growth ambitions and ensure a strong link to M’s strategy 
• Manage M’s transformation projects and support M strategy projects 
• Improve M’s existing Business Development framework and process  

Desired profile: 

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, science, technology or similar  
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience in strategy development, e.g. from management consulting or the strategy function in a large company 

Competence within and experience from the following areas: 

• Strategy development and implementation 
• Complex strategic transformation projects with multiple stakeholders 
• Operating model design and consequent change projects related to strengthening processes, systems, governance, organisational interfaces, resource planning and performance management 
• Project Management and Project portfolio management 
• Business development frameworks 
• Good understanding of key value drivers for the energy business; experience from working with the energy industry will be an advantage 
• Excellent people skills 
• Self-driven, business-oriented and a positive team player with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluency in the English language; proficiency in another primary European language would be an advantage
