We are looking for a candidate to join our Energy Systems Group Legal team at Høvik, responsible for providing advice on all legal matters related to the DNV Energy System business worldwide.

We are a business-oriented group of professionals with a primary focus of adding value and acting as business enablers to the Energy System’s business of DNV. You will work primarily with contract law but also provide general legal advice to the business on a variety of matters, such as litigation and claims, legal risk assessments related to new services and solutions, country risk assessments, strategy and administration of external counsels.

On contract related matters, you will negotiate frame work agreements and contracts with major international companies operating within the Energy sector, develop standard template agreements and other governing documents used by or within the DNV organisation. Group Legal Energy Systems is supported by a Global Contracting team comprising of 27 professional contract advisors with a broad mandate to perform contract reviews.

Position Qualifications

• Master of Law degree or equivalent from a Norwegian or foreign university with solid academic credentials
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience
• Admitted to bar with all necessary certificates to practice law in Norway (preferable)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in both Norwegian and English. Other language skills are considered an advantage
• Strong integrity and work ethics
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Project management skills and experience
