We are looking for a Group Controller to the Consolidation and Accounting team based at Hydro’s main office in Oslo. The Consolidation and Accounting Department is a sub department within Corporate Accounting and Reporting. The team’s main activities include responsibility for the consolidation of Hydro and its business areas, and responsibility for the process related to identification and resolution of accounting related issues. The team consist of 9 highly experienced and skilled members, covering key competencies such as consolidation principles and practice in a highly complex structure, IFRS competence and consolidation tools.

Areas of Responsibility:
As part of the team, the Group Controller will:

• Conduct technical consolidation of Business Area/Hydro
• Drive processes and secure resolutions related to accounting issues
• Participate in preparation of annual financial statements and quarterly reports
• Participate in continuous improvement of processes
• Participate in Corporate and/or Business Area level projects when relevant

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• 5+ years’ experience with consolidation and accounting related issues
• Preferably experience from auditing and/or with consolidation in a medium/large sized corporation
• Good IFRS skills
• Good English skills, both verbal and written, is a requirement
• Good Excel skills

The position will entail broad communication with the business areas and will provide opportunities to learn about the business as such.
