Elopak is a publicly listed Norwegian company, working globally with customers in more than 70 countries. The company was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in June 2021. Ferd, Elopak’s founder and now previous owner, is currently the largest investor. 2020 proved to be yet another solid year for Elopak, with revenues for the Group in excess of 909 million euro. We are now in the process of strengthening and developing our financial team and are looking for a highly business- and development-oriented Group Controller. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Group Controller is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate management reporting and financial analysis, through modernizing Elopak’s reporting processes and tools. We target to move from static monthly reports in Power Point, to more timely and relevant information made available on different platforms. As Group Controller you will work with the overall financial information on group level, in close collaboration with business area directors and the corporate management. You will work closely with our core business, production- and sales operations, and have a highly strategic perspective in the role.

Key accountability and primary objectives for the position:

  • Review the overall management reporting process and develop and implement improvements in close collaboration with peer teams and regions
  • Develop new management reporting formats in Elopak BI tools
  • Be active in analyzing financial performance at group and business area level and challenge decisions, e.g., conduct cause analyses and propose possible correction measure
  • Work actively with business area controllers to further develop reporting and analysis
  • Participate in business performance improvement projects and analysis
  • Contribute with financial modelling, analysis and insights

The position is based in Oslo HQ (Skøyen) and reports to Director of Corporate Finance and Tax.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

As our new Group Controller, you have experience from management reporting and/or business controlling. We are looking for a business controller profile who is used to driving new information about customer and product profitability. Relevant experience may come from consulting or from product and sales-oriented companies.

Based on your previous experience, you have the ability to define and design new reporting solutions, and willingness/ capabilities to challenge status quo to further develop the controlling area in Elopak Group. Relevant candidates are experienced in the use of BI tools (experience from SAP is an advantage).

As our new Group Controller, you have a relevant Master’s degree within business or equivalent. Excellent oral and written English language skills is a prerequisite to succeed in the role.
