The position

Equinor has recently established Technology, Digital & Innovation (TDI) as a new business area. TDI is the technology powerhouse of our company, enabling Equinor to become a leader in the energy transition. Enterprise digital, one of four business clusters in TDI, is currently looking for a vice president for their enterprise solutions unit. The unit is responsible for managing IT applications within supply chain management, finance & control, people & organisation and safety, security & sustainability. The modern workplace IT application portfolio is also a part of the enterprise solutions’ area of responsibility.

As vice president of enterprise solutions, you will play a vital role in the digitalisation and transformation of key areas to support Equinor’s energy transition journey. The team consists of more than hundred employees, as well as several hundred people from partners and suppliers.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and maintain cross-company applications, in areas such as SAP, Office365, supply chain management, finance & control, HR as well as safety, security & sustainability
  • Responsible for the product portfolio related to modern workplace, ensuring that all Equinor employees have modern end-user equipment at the office and in the field
  • Lead a competence centre of IT project leaders including maintaining best practices
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership in Equinor’s corporate functions (HR, Finance & control, Safety & security, Legal and Communication) and in supply chain management
  • Lead, develop and motivate a strong team of around 100 internal employees as well as several hundred contractor employees. An important part of the role is to manage external suppliers.  
  • The role needs to both ensure high operational stability including cyber security and SOX compliance, as well as being a driving force for enabling a digital transformation within the areas of responsibility

  • Be a role model for safety by ensuring high level of security and operational stability of application portfolio
  • Change experience with the ability to lead senior project leaders through a time of change and development
  • Experience of managing multiple large enterprise applications and programmes across a broad stakeholder landscape
  • Experience with SAP will be beneficial
  • Ambitious digital executive with solid leadership experience from line or project leader roles
  • An effective communicator with strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • The successful candidate will likely have an advanced degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering, or other relevant degrees
