New position at Klaveness as Senior Financial Controller

Klaveness is seeking a proactive and engaged Senior Financial Controller to strengthen our Group Finance team at our headquarters in Oslo. Your main responsibilities will be towards our growing financial investment portfolio, and the right candidate has a solid interest in, and knowledge of, accounting and tax treatment of financial investments and instruments. You will be part of a small, but highly competent and development-oriented team working with Group reporting, controlling, treasury, accounting and tax on behalf of all business areas in Torvald Klaveness. The role reports to our Senior Manager Group Accounting, and you will also be closely involved in developing our periodic business reporting. The position is new, and you will have ample opportunity to grow your competence and shape your role in line with your own and the company’s development. 
 
Responsibilities: 

• Financial controlling (accounting and tax) related to Klaveness’ portfolio of financial investments and instruments 
• Financial information and analysis to decision makers 
• Various treasury, including liquidity and FX 
• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting 
• Participate in, or lead, various projects to enhance Group Finance deliveries to the Group  

Qualifications:  

• Relevant education at Master level, preferably MRR or equivalent 
• Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience, preferably from auditing in addition to other relevant positions 
• Solid accounting and tax competence, with a particular interest in financial investments and instruments (our reporting language is NGAAP, but with a consolidated listed subsidiary using IFRS) 
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, primarily excel 
• Strong written and spoken English as a working language

• An analytic mindset, with attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture 
• A team player by nature, but also able to structure your own work and take responsibility for your deliveries 
• Curious, with a drive to understand the business behind the figures, and ability to spot opportunities for improvement
