As Director Group Accounting, you will have a central role, with responsibility for the Groups financial reporting, cash flow, IFRS, transfer pricing, and taxation in an international company. You will be an instrumental part of the Finance Management team, working closely for and with the group’s CFO, the Finance Director, Controlling & BI teams as well as the Accounting and Billing teams that you are directly responsible for. The position is located at the company’s HQ and reports to Group CFO, located in Oslo.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly consolidated financial statements for the Group in accordance with IFRS, and ensure that statutory compliance matters are properly attended
  • Cash flow reporting and forecasting for the Group
  • Professional responsibility for IFRS, transfer pricing, VAT, and international taxation
  • Actively lead and take responsibility for improvement work and further development of accounting procedures and internal control processes for the group
  • Oversee the periodic reporting both internally and externally, and contribute to the development of sustainability reporting
  • Direct responsibility for two teams (12 FTE), with the Head of Accounting and Head of Billing, reporting directly to you. Both are located at the office in Sofia, Bulgaria, with employees also in Oslo, UK and Arendal.
  • Participate in M&A processes regarding tax and accounting related matters
  • Close collaboration with business areas and professionals in the group
  • Ensure good documentation and close collaboration with the auditor
  • Assisting CFO in ad hoc projects

Desired background and qualifications:

  • Solid professional education, preferably a master's degree in accounting and auditing
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant working experience, preferable with a big 4 background.
  • Strong experience with accounting (IFRS), consolidation, tax, and internal control
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both oral and written language
