Main purpose of position 
Currently we are looking for a Financial Operations Manager in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Financial Operations Manager you will lead the development, improvement, and monitoring of the group’s financial operating system, with the purpose of maximizing quality and cost efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure scalability of the Financial Reporting Function. You will work closely with the Digital Transformation & IT department, coordinating digital initiatives, to ensure alignment and predictability on initiatives and use of resources. You will also liaise with the groups finance teams, and especially the global Finance & Asset Management and Financial Controlling who ultimately applies the financial operating system being developed. You will be a part of the group accounting team reporting to VP Financial Controlling.

Main responsibilities 

  • establish a roadmap for improvement of the group’s financial reporting processes, and liaise with group controllers, regional ATR’s (Accounting Tax and Reporting Managers) and internal audit to identify, prioritize and address improvement areas
  • automate the reporting function as far as possible by ensuring that processes seek optimal use of financial systems
  • develop global standardized finance processes which are scalable and in line with the growth targets of the group
  • lead the roll-out of global processes to regions and coordinate training of local finance teams
  • coordinate digital improvement initiatives within the finance function and ensure alignment with the digital unit
  • develop, maintain, and oversee the execution of the financial systems governance model
  • coordinating resources in roll-out of ERP to new locations to conduct training and onboarding of local resources as needed
  • develop and maintain the groups framework for Internal Control of Financial Reporting (ICFR) and assist local teams in implementing local activities in line with ICFR requirements
  • implement monitoring activities for ICFR to ensure adherence from the global finance teams

Qualifications and competencies 

  • university level degree within Business Administration/Finance/Economics
  • minimum 7 years work experience within financial accounting or audit in global multi-national companies
  • relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • excellent system knowledge and Excel skills
  • experience with MS Dynamics 365 and PowerBI is an advantage
  • fluent in English, written and spoken

You are able to familiarize yourself quickly with various issues, are structured, analytical, proactive and self-motivated. You should be down-to-earth, forward-looking and enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment with high demands. Good communication skills and a great drive are also valued.
