Head of Group Accounting

Blystad Group is seeking a Head of Accounting who wants to contribute actively to the further development of the company in order to take a position as one of the Nordic region's leading private investment companies. The company has over many years invested actively in various projects, shares, and other financial asset classes with good results. The environment is characterized by dynamism and flexibility and a wide-ranging investment mandate. Here you enter a group with great speed, high complexity, short decision-making paths and high requirements for implementation and delivery. The Head of Accounting will be a central resource in further developing the reporting, together with a team of 7 people. You will have a great deal of freedom in the position and will report directly to the CFO, as well as have extensive contact with the entire breadth of the organisation. Workplace is centrally located in central Oslo.

Areas of responsibility:

• Overall responsibility for financial reporting in the group

• Professional responsibility for the consolidated accounts, consolidation procedure and tax, including further development of systems, routines and guidelines

• Super user of the consolidation tool Cantor

• Accounting treatment of acquisitions, sales, mergers and fissions, participation in FDD, as well as integration of acquired companies

• Preparation of consolidated accounts (NGAAP), company accounts and accounting assistance to subsidiaries

• Responsible for the group's tax planning and strategy, tax assessments and VAT-related issues

• Plan and carry out the closing of annual accounts for the entire group, as well as dialogue with the auditor

• Projects and ad-hoc

Required qualifications:

• Higher academical background within accounting or finance, preferably a Master's in accounting and auditing (MRR)

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with operational experience from a similar role in a group with complex assessments

• Extensive experience with consolidated accounts and group reporting

• High expertise in consolidation, IFRS/NGAAP and tax/VAT

• Strong systems expertise and interest, and extensive experience with consolidation tools

• Experience from implementation and improvement processes

• Good communicative skills, in both Norwegian and English

• Solid Excel skills

• Leadership skills for an accounting department consisting of 8 colleagues

• Good team player, but at the same time a solid personal drive

• Strong professional relationships and ability to build networks
