DNV has an ambitious strategy for inorganic growth with M&A activities being a focus area for the organization going forward. DNV Group M&A team is central in all mergers, acquisitions, and divestment processes in the global DNV organization. The team is engaged throughout the project’s lifetime, from target scouting to integration.

DNV Group M&A team currently consists of seven professionals, including two in DNV Venture, all sitting together in modern seafront office facilities in a pleasant campus environment at the DNV headquarter at Høvik.

We are now looking for a dedicated M&A Manager to further strengthen our team.

As M&A Manager you will report to the Director of M&A and provide unique insights and experience into DNV’s industries and global organization. Working alongside senior colleagues and transaction teams, you will be able to enhance your industry and transaction expertise while further developing strategic thinking and management skills. Group M&A is organized under the Group Finance function and is one of the most C-suite exposed roles in DNV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute M&A transactions in cross-functional deal teams
  • Investment analysis of potential acquisition targets
  • Valuation of companies
  • Coordinating and undertaking due diligence of businesses
  • Drafting information materials for decisions makers related to M&A projects
  • Presenting M&A projects to decision makers (Group CFO, CEO, BOD)
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Searching for new potential acquisition targets

Position Qualifications

  • Master's degree, preferably within finance, business administration, industrial economics, or law, but other degrees may apply
  • Two to six years of relevant working experience, e.g. corporate development, M&A advisory, management consulting, commercial- or financial due diligence, finance/controller position, business development, or project management roles
  • Demonstrated ability to cooperate with people from all organization levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Norwegian fluency is beneficial
  • Drive, integrity, team-orientated, quick learner, ability to perform in an occasionally fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong work ethic are favorable traits
  • Advanced business, accounting, finance, and analytical skills are advantageous
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
