Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.

Metal Sourcing & Trading (MST), a business unit within Aluminium Metal, Commercial at Hydro, is looking for a talented Contract Administrator to join our team. MST excels in trading and risk management activities on the London Metal Exchange and optimizes our global standard ingot portfolio, delivering exceptional financial results and serving as a competence center for the company on aluminium markets.

Area of Responsibility
As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution and fulfillment of sales and purchase contracts for aluminium. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Administrating contracts and invoices
  • Handling logistics (ordering trucks, booking lay cans, etc.)
  • Updating metal positions overview
  • Managing your own customer and market portfolio

Desired qualifications

  • University education within logistics, shipping, or other relevant areas of study
  • Experience in administrative and support functions
  • Good general IT skills
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to prioritize in a busy work environment.
  • Highly structured with excellent attention to detail
  • Service-minded, flexible, and with a positive attitude
  • A team player with good social skills
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
